The Weatherization Program provides for the purchase and installation of energy conservation measures in single and multi-family homes. The District of Columbia Energy Office (DCEO) selects low-income residents for energy audit of homes. A primary function of the DCEO is to help DC residents cope with high-energy cost, especially for those senior citizens who cannot always help themselves.
